After his ship is caught in a freak micro-meteorite storm and is forced to ditch on an uncharted planet, Captain Thomas Voight-Kampf emerges from stasis to find his craft strewn out over miles across a barren desert. He immediately sets off in search of his wife and the ships rescue beacon. Soon enough he comes to realize that not everything is as it seems, and the planet's secrets might hold the clues to the mysteries of his past.
